Basketball & Rec Summer camp

Playmaker U. Basketball and Rec Summer Camp is an opportunity for campers to spend time working on basketball skills and expanding their knowledge while having fun playing basketball. And in the afternoons the campers will partake in a number of fun team building games and activities outdoors in the Memorial park providing them a memorable & high energy summer camp recreational experience.

Camp Notes:

-Every morning the kids will take part in a number of fun basketball developmental skill building activities as well as play fun and competitive games. In the afternoon we will offer opportunities to play a number of fun team building games as well as offer non competitive games as an option. We will take short walking field trips to the Memorial Park to play outdoor games such as flag football, soccer, kickball, tag games, capture the flag and much more...

-Each child is required to bring their own lunch with them each day, we will offer our own snacks such as honey pretzel sticks, graham crackers and a small variety of chips. We will have water coolers available for kids to refill their own water bottles throughout the day.

-Our goal to focus on basketball fun and development in the morning and to play outdoors every afternoon barring the weather, on rainy days we will keep all our afternoon activities indoors.

Sample schedule:

8am-8:45am: early morning drop off, parent sign in, card games, board games

8:45am-9:00am: Morning camp meeting & Daily schedule

9:00am-9:30am stretch & warm-ups

9:30am-10:45am: dribbling drills, shooting drills, passing drills

15 minute break: water & snack

11:00am- 12:15pm: defensive drills, cardio drills, basketball relays and games

12:15pm-1:00pm: Lunch & Down time (card games, board games, light afternoon stretch)

1:00pm-2:30pm: Outdoor games & rec time

2:30pm-3:00pm: Walk back to gym, clean up & prep to head home
